British vacationer, 62, drowns in entrance of associate at widespread Majorca resort

A British vacationer has drowned in entrance of his associate in Majorca.

The man was taken from the ocean by lifeguards who spent virtually an hour making an attempt to revive him on the sand, earlier than his demise was sadly confirmed.

Events unfolded at Puerto Pollensa, a well-liked vacation resort within the northeast of Majorca, a well-liked hotspot with British tourists.

Local reviews say the authorities have been alerted at roughly 3.30pm native time on Thursday.

According to these near the scene, the deceased’s associate alerted the authorities.

One witness mentioned: “She saw him floating in the water after he went for a swim.

“Lifeguards pulled him out of the water and tried to revive him earlier than emergency responders took over once they arrived.”

The man has so far not been named.

An investigation into the man’s death will now be investigated, with a local judge ordering it to begin immediately.

Puerto Pollensa is a favourite holiday destination with British tourists.

Among its notable visitors include former British Prime Minister David Cameron, and highway and monitor biking legend Bradley Wiggins.

It comes months after a British man drowned in entrance of his teenage son in Tenerife.

In April, the unnamed 58-year-old was pulled from the ocean by two folks, together with a nurse, who carried out CPR on the person.

He went into cardiac arrest whereas they waited for the emergency companies to reach.

Despite the efforts of emergency responders, they have been unable to revive the person.

Last month, one other Briton was sadly pronounced lifeless – this time a toddler who had been swimming in a villa pool in Nuria, close to Benidorm.

The 19-month-old’s mom was reportedly on the property with three of the toddler’s youthful siblings when the incident occurred.
