argaret McDonagh, Labour’s first feminine common secretary, has died on the age of 61.

The politician, who sat within the House of Lords as Baroness McDonagh, was described as an “unstoppable force of nature” and a “tireless champion for women” as tributes had been paid on Saturday.

Labour chief Sir Keir Starmer hailed her “absolutely essential” function as election co-ordinator within the occasion’s 1997 common election victory.
