At least 48 useless and 30 harm after horrific crash sparks multi-vehicle pile-up

At least 48 folks have died following a catastrophic highway accident involving a truck carrying a delivery container and eight different automobiles.

The lethal incident occurred on Friday night, June 30, in southwest Kenya.

The truck was travelling via the Londiani Junction on a stretch of the freeway linking Nakuru, Kenya’s third largest metropolis, to the city of Kericho, when its driver reportedly misplaced management and rammed a number of minibuses, personal automobiles and bikes.

Mr Otieno added the car hit was thrown off the road before landing on a ditch, while the truck went on to crash into other cars before overturning and eventually resting off the road.

Speaking only a few hours after the incident had happened, Londiani police boss Agnes Kunga said “dozens” of people had been rushed to various local hospitals as a result of the “very unhealthy accident”.

She added: “Several individuals are feared useless whereas others are trapped within the wreckage within the pile-up”.
