Large plume of black smoke above London as huge hearth breaks out above Iceland

A fire has damaged out at an Iceland retailer in London with a black plume rising dozens of metres into the sky.

Footage has emerged on-line showing to point out the shop in Woodgrange Road, Forest Gate to be on hearth with flashing blue lights on the scene. Roads closures have now been put in place with Woodgrange Road closed in each instructions and site visitors being re-directed to Upton Lane.

Express.co.uk has contacted the London Fire Brigade who confirmed a hearth on the retailer’s location and stated they are going to present extra info shortly.

 

There is presently an ongoing yearly road celebration filled with households across the nook from the blaze, reported The Metro.

A witness advised The Independent they noticed smoke and immediately knew it was “the start of something huge”.

Newham Council confirmed on their social media: “We are aware of a fire at the Iceland store in Woodgrange Rd, Forest Gate. We’re supporting emergency services and sending council officers to the scene. We will update when we have more information.

“Road closures have been put in place with entry to Woodgrange Rd shut din each instructions – site visitors is being re-directed to Upton Lane”
