Hamilton was refused entry into Wimbledon Royal Box over wardrobe malfunction

It was all very harmonious and we’ve made it clear to Lewis already that he’d be more than welcome to come back to the Royal Box in the future – and I’m sure he will.”

While Hamilton himself understood and revered the choice, there was loads of backlash on social media on the time. Gary Lineker led the disbelief that Hamilton was turned away, as he tweeted: “Might be me, but turning away @LewisHamilton from the Royal box for not wearing a bloody jacket and tie shows England as its pompous worst.”
