Carlos Alcaraz confirms dad spying on Novak Djokovic at Wimbledon

The Aorangi observe courts at Wimbledon are in shut proximity and the better-known gamers typically prepare on the ‘present courts’ so followers are capable of watch them. At one stage earlier this week, Alcaraz and Djokovic have been each on courts alongside one another training for his or her respective matches.

But the Serbian tennis icon was sad at studying of Alcaraz’s father allegedly filming the coaching session. Djokovic known as for “more privacy” after the story was reported in Serbian media, including: “Then it provides me extra alternatives to attempt some issues, to speak extra clearly with my crew.

“The reality is that you’re not utterly relaxed in coaching. You know your rivals are there, you recognize everyone seems to be wanting over your shoulder at what’s happening, what you’re engaged on. Every shot is measured, evaluated and assessed.”

Now Alcaraz has broken his silence on the reports following his quarter-final win over Holger Rune. The Spaniard was initially confused by the question in his press conference, before appearing to brush off the allegations as nothing serious.

“Probably it’s true,” Alcaraz said. “My father is a large fan of tennis and he would not solely watch my matches.

“I think he gets into the club at 10am and leaves at 11pm watching matches and practice and being able to watch Djokovic in real life it is probably true he was filming the sessions.”

And Alcaraz appeared to hit again at any suggestion his father’s filming would give him an edge additional down the road. “I don’t think so,” he stated when requested whether or not it gave him a ‘aggressive benefit’.
