Five charged with violent dysfunction exterior asylum seeker lodge

Five individuals have been charged with violent dysfunction exterior a lodge housing asylum seekers, Merseyside Police have stated. Three teenage boys have been amongst these arrested yesterday (Thursday, July 13) after warrants have been executed as a part of an investigation into the dysfunction in Knowsley in February.

A police van was set on fireplace and missiles have been thrown at officers after an initially peaceable protest turned violent on the Suites Hotel on Ribblers Lane.  Daniel Fulham, 38, of Old Rough Lane, Northwood Kirkby, and Brian McPadden, 60, of Britonside Avenue, Southdene, have been charged alongside the three youngsters from Kirkby, aged 16, 17 and 13.

They have been bailed and can seem at Liverpool Magistrates’ Court on Thursday July 27.  Fifteen individuals from the Knowsley space have been arrested on the time of the protest which police stated left an officer and two members of the general public with slight accidents.
