Teenager, 16, stabbed to dying in London avenue as MP ‘devastated’
A young person was stabbed to dying in Walthamstow at the moment, a Labour MP has mentioned.
Announcing the devastating news this night, Walthamstow MP Stella Creasy mentioned a younger man, aged 16, was murdered on Markhouse Road.
She shared a report from the Metropolitan Police that mentioned the suspect was on the run.
The police service mentioned that they obtained a name at the moment from an “unknown male” stating somebody was stabbed “by a large knife”.
The report added that the suspect had “run off” from the scene at 118 Markhouse Road, E17.
Officers discovered an attended to a 16-year-old boy who was s”uffering from a stab wound to his chest”, and delivered first assist earlier than helicopter emergency providers (HEMS) arrived on the scene.
They added that the boy died, and mentioned the incident was being handled as a homicide.
The report concluded: “A Police cordon will remain in place at this location to allow for forensic examination of scene which may cause some local disruption.
“The highway is presently blocked off from Lea bridge J/W Markhouse Road. Buses are on a diversion.”
The Met said that no arrests have yet been made in connection with the incident.
