Man in his 70s arrested after ‘suspicious supplies’ reported at his dwelling
A person in his seventies has been arrested after studies of “suspicious materials” at his dwelling.
Police raided the property within the small village of Golcar, West Yorkshire after studies have been raised.
The man stays in police custody after residents reported seeing “ten police cars and vans, a couple of ambulances, a fire truck and the army” close to the property, the Sun studies.
The “suspicious materials” have been eliminated by police for additional evaluation.
Police on the property have been supported by district officers within the raid in order that the substance could possibly be “safely removed for further analysis.”
A spokeswoman for West Yorkshire Police stated: “Officers attended to execute a warrant at an address off Sycamore Avenue, Golcar, yesterday evening following information about the possible presence of potentially suspicious materials at the premises.
“The supplies discovered have been safely eliminated and a person in his seventies was arrested on the scene and stays in police custody.
“Enquiries remain ongoing and there is no wider risk to the public.”
