Greece’s prime minister has supplied a week-long free vacation in Rhodes subsequent 12 months for vacationers whose trip was lower quick by wildfires.

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis stated the authorities “understand that it caused some inconvenience for visitors” and Greece would supply a one-week free vacation in Rhodes.

Speaking on ITV’s Good Morning Britain, he stated the wildfires affected 15% of the island however identified “no lives were lost in Rhodes, no injuries reported” and stated the scenario there was “back to normal”.

“For all those whose holiday was cut short as a result of wildfires, the Greek government in cooperation with local authorities will offer one week of free holidays on Rhodes, next spring, the next fall, so that we make sure they come back to the island and enjoy its natural beauty,” Mr Mitsotakis stated.

The prime minister stated wildfires within the Mediterranean aren’t uncommon, however local weather change has elevated their depth.

He celebrated the hospitality of the folks of Rhodes, saying they had been “incredibly supportive”.
