Bournemouth: Four youngsters arrested after 18-year-old dies in Lower Gardens park struggle

Four youngsters have been arrested on suspicion of homicide after an 18-year-old man died after a struggle in Bournemouth.

It comes after police have been known as to studies of a person being badly injured within the city centre’s Lower Gardens park simply earlier than 1.30am on Saturday morning.

The teenager from Bournemouth, who has not been named, died on the scene.

His household and the coroner have been notified of his loss of life.

The 4 males detained have been all aged 18 and from coastal areas – two are from Portsmouth, one is from Poole and the opposite is from Bournemouth.

Superintendent Gavin House of Dorset Police mentioned: “Very sadly a young man has lost his life and our thoughts are with his family and friends.

“A full and detailed investigation is underneath method into this incident and I’d urge anybody who noticed what occurred and has not but spoken to officers to please contact us.”

Mr House added that Bournemouth Square and a big space of the park had been cordoned off so the investigation could possibly be carried out.

There will likely be an elevated police presence within the space over the approaching days, he mentioned.
