Diksha improves as Aditi slips in third spherical at Women’s Open
India’s Diksha Dagar performed a gentle spherical of even-par 72 with a birdie and a bogey to be one-over and positioned tied-Thirty fifth — up from tied-Forty seventh — after the third spherical of the Women’s Open at Walton Heath.
Diksha’s senior country-mate, Aditi Ashok, taking part in her twenty seventh Major, struggled to a 3-over 75, regardless of a closing birdie and is now tied-Twenty eighth from T-9 on the midway stage. Going into the ultimate spherical, Diksha has scores of 74-71-72, whereas Aditi has carded 72-69-75 after 54 holes.
England’s Charley Hull (68) and America’s Lilia Vu (67), on nine-under-par after three rounds, are sharing the highest spot.
Aditi, who has 4 Ladies European Tour (LET) wins together with the Hero Indian Open, appeared headed for a disastrous spherical as she bogeyed 3 times on the entrance 9. She gathered extra bogeys on the eleventh and twelfth to go 5-over. However, birdies on the thirteenth, fifteenth and 18th helped salvage the spherical, although she had one other bogey on the seventeenth.
Diksha had 10 pars to begin her third spherical and birdied the Par-5 eleventh, however gave away a shot on Par-4 fifteenth and parred the remaining holes.
Aditi discovered simply 10 of the 15 fairways. She wanted 32 putts and had 10 greens in regulation out of 18. Diksha had 15 greens in regulation however wanted 33 putts.
