Sancho hits again at Ten Hag after Man Utd boss referred to as out coaching efficiency
Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho has struck again at Erik ten Hag over claims that he has carried out poorly in coaching. The former Borussia Dortmund man was ignored of the squad totally for Sunday’s defeat to Arsenal, with Ten Hag readily sharing that failing to fulfill his requirements on the coaching pitch was the route of his choice.
Marcus Rashford and Antony began on the flanks for the Red Devils, with Alejandro Garnacho and Facundo Pellistri offering different choices from the bench. Sancho, who value £73million in 2021 and banks a reported £350,000 a week, was not chosen as a part of the squad.
When quizzed on why, Ten Hag stated after the sport: “We didn’t select him based on training performance. You have to reach the level every day at Manchester United. That’s why in this game he wasn’t selected.”
Two hours after the ultimate whistle, Sancho posted a response on X, writing: “Please don’t believe everything you read! I will not allow people saying things that are completely untrue.
“I’ve performed myself in coaching very effectively this week. I consider there are different causes for this matter that I will not go into, I’ve been a scapegoat for a very long time which is not honest!
“All I want to do is play football with a smile on my face and contribute to my team. I respect all decisions that are made by the coaching staff, I play with fantastic players and grateful to do so which I know every week is a challenge. I will continue to fight for this badge no matter what!”
“The performance was right,” Ten Hag instructed Sky Sports. “We played a very good game but everything went against us. Then you don’t win the game. If we had a bit more luck, we would have won.
“[Garnacho] was not offside, [VAR looked at it from] the flawed angle. It was a penalty on [Rasmus] Hojlund. When we conceded the purpose, Jonny Evans was fouled, it was so apparent. We have to just accept it however I see the angle, and it was not offside. It feels somewhat bit nasty however it’s important to settle for it.”
