Henderson’s Al Ettifaq change got here with hypothesis that he was pocketing a staggering £700,000 per week in Saudi Arabia.
But the England worldwide has squashed these rumours, insisting cash wasn’t included in his motivations for a switch. Reports have since claimed he’s incomes round £350,000 weekly.
“No [I’m not earning £700,000-a-week or four times my Liverpool salary,” Henderson defined.
“I wish it was (laughs). No, honestly, the numbers just aren’t true. But again, it had to work out for us financially as well.
“I’m not saying that it did not, and I’m not saying, “Oh, I’m not on good money” as a result of it is good cash, and it was deal, nevertheless it wasn’t the numbers that had been reported. No.”
