Edinburgh gang assault on three Ukrainian youngsters leaves boy stabbed
Three Ukrainian youngsters had been assaulted in Edinburgh on the weekend, in what police are investigating as a racially aggravated assault.
The boys – two aged 13 and one aged 15 – had been approached by a bunch of eight youths as they made their means in the direction of a bus cease in Niddrie Mains Road.
One of the 13-year-olds was stabbed, whereas the opposite was left with a laceration to his ear. The 15-year-old was punched.
The injured boys had been handled in hospital.
The youths, all wearing darkish clothes, fled after the assault at round 8.30pm on Sunday.
Police are reviewing CCTV footage in an effort to trace down the attackers.

Detective Inspector Keith Fairbairn stated: “I know there were members of the public in the area at the time of the attack and I am asking them to contact us with any information they may have.
“We are interesting for particulars on the group of youths, who had been wearing darkish clothes. Perhaps you noticed them some other place – did you see them operating off?
“Any small piece of information could assist us in identifying those responsible for these attacks.”
