Woman, 2, dies after being present in pond in Hampshire as girl arrested on suspicion of homicide

A lady has been arrested on suspicion of homicide following the loss of life of a two-year-old lady who was present in a pond in Hampshire.

The little one was reported lacking from her residence in Kingsley, close to Bordon, shortly after 5pm on Sunday.

Following a seek for the toddler, she was present in Kingsley Pond and brought to hospital in a serious condition.

In an replace on Monday night, Hampshire Police stated the lady had died in hospital.

The girl is in custody for questioning, the drive stated.

A spokesperson stated the lady’s household have been being supported by specialist officers.

The spokesperson added: “A woman, aged in her 40s, has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

“She is at present in police custody.”
