Lady ‘kidnapped and raped’ by homeless man in Northampton
A homeless man has been charged after a girl was allegedly kidnapped and raped within the city centre of Northampton. Leon Svans, 27, was charged following the alleged assault within the Greyfriars space of Northampton on Friday morning.
The girl, in her 40s, was attacked at 3am on Friday.
Northamptonshire Police mentioned the lady sought refuge on the Bonmarche store in Abington Street the place employees supplied her with assist.
Greyfriars is a former bus station, which was demolished in 2015 and redeveloped into housing.
The assault was reported shortly after 9am.
At Bonmarche, a Yorkshire-based clothes firm, employees supplied her with assist earlier than the police arrived.
