Lorry explodes into big fireball on main motorway as plumes of smoke rise
An enormous plume of black smoke has been seen rising into the air over Kent this night (October 25), after a lorry apparently exploded right into a fireball on the westbound stretch of the M2 motorway.
The fireplace is believed to be close to J2 for Rochester/Chatham.
Shocking footage and movies present an enormous fireplace taking maintain of the car on the motorway bridge this night. It is unknown what triggered the incident and if there are any accidents.
A Kent Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson requested folks domestically to shut home windows and doorways.
“People living or travelling near junction 2 and 3 of the M2 (near Chatham and Rochester) are advised to close windows and doors as a precaution, due to smoke coming from lorry fire,” they added.
“Four fire engines have been sent to the scene and crews wearing breathing apparatus are working to extinguish the fire. Please share this advice with any loved ones in the affected area, who might not have access to the internet.”
