When mum-to-be Hannah Williams started struggling to climb stairs it was thought she had a chest an infection.

“After waiting over 15 hours, pregnant, with no food or drink and no sleep for 30 hours, I did discharge myself as I was exhausted.”

After returning house she had some missed calls and voicemail messages asking her to return to hospital for remedy.

“Eventually I had a CT scan, which confirmed a mass on my left lung which had grown so much in three weeks they knew it was serious,” Hannah mentioned.

She underwent a process to take away greater than 4.5 litres of fluid from her left lung via a tube, which stays in her chest.

Hannah was given the choice to terminate her being pregnant as a result of potential uncomfortable side effects of chemotherapy.

Hannah mentioned: “I’m a positive person, and I believe everything does happen for a reason.

“I’m sturdy sufficient, younger sufficient and match sufficient to combat this. With being pregnant, it makes all the things escalate faster.

“But it was never an option for me to terminate my baby. Regardless of the outcome, all I know is I tried my hardest and I never took the possible easy way out.”

Her daughter is due in December, with Hannah set to call her Nova.

She added: “It’s my decision to go ahead as far as I can go with my pregnancy. I’m hoping and praying I can get her far enough to give her a fighting chance.”

Due to her being pregnant Hannah is restricted when it comes to painkillers she will take, leaving her in “excruciating pain” at instances.

“The only pain relief I am taking is paracetamol,” she commented.

Hannah added: “Nothing makes sense to me right now. In the space of four weeks, my whole world has been turned upside down. My friends have been my rock.

“When I’m higher, I need to go into nursing and assist as many individuals as I probably can. After being between Clatterbridge and ICU, I cannot fault one nurse.”
