Several England males’s assistant coaches have lined up jobs within the Hundred in August, which takes place between the tip of the Ashes and the beginning of the white-ball group’s run-in to the 50-over World Cup.

The 2024 edition is off the table due to its proximity to the T20 World Cup but there is a window in England’s white-ball schedule the following season, after the Champions Trophy. Mott added: “It’s positively a purpose to get again there in some unspecified time in the future, however I’m not in a rush for the time being.”
